If you don’t know what a table card is, they are also known as escort cards. These cards consist of the name of your guest. They are being placed on the table of your wedding reception so that people can easily find their way around. Normally, these cards are just a small rectangular tent which has been made in either heavy cream or white paper. They can either have a border surrounding the name of the guest or none at all. Most of the times, the names of the guests have been written in black calligraphy. However, there are also some instances wherein wedding couples prefer the names of their guests to be typewritten instead of this style.

The overall look of the escort card often matches with the wedding invitations. Aside from matching colors, they can also match with the motif of the wedding. There are also some table cards which are being adorned with embellishments. They are popular among those who have the money to splurge on their wedding paraphernalia. For this reason, they have the extra money to spend on their wedding details.

If you are on a budget, you can make do without these embellishments and settle with a plain wedding table card. After all, these will most likely get thrown away after the reception.
